A beautifully handcrafted sterling silver ring featuring a luminous oval nephrite jade cabochon framed by four petite coral cabochons. The decorative top was fabricated from individually formed silver ribbons, and the bezel is framed by a very fine and delicate rope-twist silver wire, adding subtle texture to the handcrafted setting. The softly translucent jade displays natural cloud-like inclusions and subtle variations of green. The coral accents provide a lovely contrast against the oxidized silver.
Likely made during the mid-twentieth century, this ring reflects the traditional silversmithing techniques found in Asian workshops, where individually fabricated settings were built around each unique stone rather than mass produced.
