A vintage, carved, lapis lazuli pendant necklace, dating to approximately the 1970s. The oval lapis is carved in a dimensional floral motif, with deep midnight blue coloring and natural variations of lighter mineral matrix throughout the stone. The carved lapis is bezel set and framed by a halo of twisted sterling silver, all in a warm gold plating. The pendant hangs from a vintage sterling silver rectangular-link chain.

Condition: This necklace is in very good vintage condition with light surface wear and a dark natural patina to the sterling silver. The carved lapis lazuli has no cracks and remains sharp with natural color and matrix variations throughout the stone. Minor wear to the gold plated bezel setting. Clasp functions well.
