Victorian Classical Bloodstone Intaglio Watch Fob in Gold Fill

A richly detailed late Victorian watch fob, crafted in gold fill and set with a circular bloodstone intaglio. The dark forest-green stone is naturally scattered with characteristic red inclusions and hand-carved with the profile of a helmeted classical figure, possibly Athena or Minerva. The reverse is smooth and uncarved.

Originally worn from a gentleman’s pocket-watch chain, this antique fob would make a striking necklace pendant.

Condition: This fob is in good antique condition with wear consistent with age and previous use. The bloodstone remains secure within its setting. The carved face retains crisp detail. The stone shows light surface wear consistent with age. The gold filled mount shows areas of mellowing, patina, and localized finish wear. The upper silver-toned suspension ring appears to be a later replacement.
