A wonderfully clever, late Victorian novelty piece in the form of a miniature champagne bottle. This cigar piercer is made in mixed metals, likely steel with brass details, and is modeled as a tiny champagne bottle complete with a raised “Veuve Cliquot” label and cork-style top. Marked “Made in Vienna,” this piece was likely produced as a novelty object or souvenir, referencing the well-known French champagne house Veuve Clicquot.
